References & Prompting

Using References (@)

Use @ to attach canvas images into the agent's context for any turn.

References are how you show domi exactly what you mean. The @ system is the only channel by which canvas images enter the agent's context — domi never sees your canvas unless you @ something.

Attach a canvas image

Type @ in the composer. A panel lists every image on your canvas — uploads, generated images, edited versions, and captures from 3D, HTML, or video cards. Pick one (or several) and they attach to your next message.

How domi uses them

Attached images become visual context for the turn. domi can use them as:

  • Subject — "make a product shot of @1"
  • Style — "match the lighting of @2"
  • Layout — "use the composition of @3 but with my product"
  • Color — "pull the palette from @1"

Edits carry over

When you @ an image you've edited on the canvas (brush, crop, etc.), domi sees the edited version and knows it was hand-modified — it treats your strokes and crops as part of the intent.

Last turn's result is already in context

You don't need to @ the image domi just made. The previous turn's output is already in working memory, so you can say "make a blue version of that" and domi knows which one. Use @ to reach further back, or to bring in an upload or a specific earlier version.

Kits are references too

An attached Brand Kit works the same way — domi reads its assets on demand and applies them.
